About M.A.S.T.
In the fall of 1996, MAST produced it’s first show L’il Abner. This project was the beginning of an important tradition which would continue to bring the school community together in a very special way.
Since then, the M.A.S.T. team has produced an impressive list of Broadway musicals including: Oliver, Cinderella, Annie, Guys and Dolls, Into the Woods, Music Man, Peter Pan, Wizard of Oz, Seussical, The Sound of Music, Oklahoma, and Fiddler on the Roof.
About "Into the Woods"
The show's music and lyrics were written by Stephen Sondheim, and the book was written by James Lapine. Into the Woods includes characters from several Borthers Grimm fairy tales, including Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel and Cinderella. The show debuted in San Diego at the Old Globe Theater in 1986 and premiered on Broadway in 1987. Into the Woods won several Tony Awards, including Best Score, Best Book and Best Actress in a Musical.
